In the context of increasing globalization of the economy and technological innovations characterized by financial infrastructure development and IT, finance functions have come to play an important role in the creation of corporate value.
Focus
Specifically, we are focusing on two finance functions.
The first is a finance function for creating service business that offers new added value together with making the overall supply chain more efficient through an integration of commercial activity (the flow of commercial transactions), distribution (the flow of goods), and finance (the flow of money).
The second involves finding the optimal mix of investment opportunities for the business company, such as plant and equipment investment or research and development investment, or in other words, using the finance system as a tool for maximizing cash flow over time.
Hitachi Research Institute supports the development of original business models for utilizing finance systems and the development of best practices for business evaluation as well as the study of specific schemes and their actual usage.
